Yawn

I figured that I haven't updated in over a week, so I better get on the ball. Last week we finally started the life of Christ. I learned a lot of things already. We have been up to quite a few things. Cross Connections, our adult Wednesday night program is going well. We are finishing up our series on Jesus tomorrow night and in February we will be addressing topics that people have asked about. On Friday we went to Relevant Media Group in Orlando, the creators of Relevant Magazine, a christian magazine for "progressive culture." We visited a Pentecostal church the night and heard the worst sermon of our lives. "Do you want to be rich!?" That was the message, 3 easy steps to get rich. We were amazed that people could be led so astray, that a "man of God" could so drastically misinterpret the Bible. Sunday was busy as we prepared for our evening service. We step up tables talking about different ways that we worship, through creativity, prayer, giving, reading the Bible, evangelism, persecution and singing. Today I didn't do anything except go out to eat, walk around downtown, go to the Brewer's and ride a four-wheeler and pray, and watch Heros. Of course, in the course of the evening, I managed to save Morgan and Paige's life 3 times as I drove to and from Adam's house. I avoided a tire in the road, which I turned around and picked up. A perfectly good, new, full-size spare that fell off some truck. I spotted a deer beside the road and I didn't swerve to avoid a possum, instead I terminated its lifespan. But really, God was watching out for us, because I saw the tire at the last second, the deer didn't run in front of us, and if I would have swerved for Mr. Possum, I was going about 60 mph so we probably would have rolled, into an oncoming car. So yes, if anyone felt led to pray for me this evening, thank you!
But now I must get to sleep because classes start again tomorrow and I want to be ready to learn about church history.
Also, I would ask you to pray for us students because Satan has been attacking us since we returned and we need to deal with some issues among the team. Thank you and goodnight!
